Hair days

Finally convinced Mya to put her braids back in. Last time was January. Its a long process and she knows it . she agreed because we are heading to the US to see friends. I told her that Charbine and her other friends will have braids too...so she agreed! At one point she didn't want to do it any more and wanted to call charbine....so cute!

She did really well. There was some crying and screaming ...from both of us...lol. Lots of movies, bribes, snacks...and we are done...for this time!

She loves the long hair and loves to flip it around...hope it lasts for a while. They say it should last 6 weeks....last time it was about 4 weeks and i had to constantly replace ones that had fallen out. oh well.

I was going to try the latch hook ones but Mya still has very little hair on the back of her head and didn't know how that would work....will try that next time. These ones are yarn...yes just black yarn from walmart that is braided into her own hair.

looks and feels very real. Its still a bit too long so will have to trim it up a bit. Its easier to make it shorter than longer in the end. The pictures didn't turn out very well. too many shadows....

slacker

Long time since i have posted anything.......so will try to think of something to say.

We have been busy enjoying the nice weather. When i am not working or the kids are not at day care we have been spending the days at the park or at the Lake.

should have taken some pictures this last weekend but didn't think of it!

We were given bunkbeds by a friend . We set them up at the lake not thinking that either would want to sleep on top yet....they still are too young for that. No, we were wrong. Mya jumped right on it. They love their new beds at the lake and Mya slept all night.

Sunday was really warm but windy. We spent the day at the beach. 

Do to some unknown reason....the slime and weeds at the beach area is out of control. We raked all day as the kids played in the sand, swung, and yes....played in the slim....yuck.

We did fit in a boat ride . 4pm came too quick and we packed up and headed home. 2 min in the car and M and A we asleep! Its hard work playing in the sun all day!

The pictures i have posted are of friends from Winnipeg....we had fun on Friday playing, had a picnic while moms had some coolers!

sigh....wish the summer lasted longer. Only a few more days till the longest day of the year!

Well we got some new clippers. They work much better. 

Maybe next time we will use a longer guard.....took off more than i wanted. It took a fraction of the time and quieter than the other clippers.

No trauma  and crying this time.......Wahls clippers rock!

M and A were at a friends birthday party today!

Staci...the mom...is super talented and painted the kids faces.

I have never seen M or especially A sit that still for something for that long. I need to go and buy face paints for some quiet time. I am sure they won't care that i have no artistic talent in the face painting catagory!
